Warranty Procedure

WE LIMIT THE DURATION AND REMEDIES OF ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TO THE DURATION OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

Limited Warranty

Sena Technologies, Inc. (“Sena”) warrants that the product shall conform to and perform in accordance with published technical specifications and the accompanying written materials and shall be free of defects in materials and workmanship for the warranty period, as set out in the chart below. The product warranty extends to the product only.

OUR RESPONSIBILITY FOR DEFECTIVE SERVICES IS LIMITED TO REPAIR OR RE-PERFORMANCE AS SET FORTH IN THE WARRANTY STATEMENT. NEITHER ANY PERFORMANCE OR ANY OTHER CONDUCT, NOR ANY ORAL OR WRITTEN INFORMATION, STATEMENT OR ADVICE PROVIDED BY US OR ANY OF OUR SUPPLIERS, RESELLERS, AGENTS OR EMPLOYEES WILL CREATE A WARRANTY, OR IN ANY WAY INCREASE THE SCOPE OR DURATION OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY.

Termination

However, the product warranty will be terminated prematurely in the following cases despite the warranty period.

  • In the event the product has been sold or transferred to a third party.
  • In the event the manufacturer’s name, serial number, product label, or other markings have been modified or removed.
  • In the event an unauthorized person has tried to disassemble, repair, or modify the product.

Warranty Exclusions

Warranty Exclusions. This limited warranty does not apply to, and Sena shall have no warranty obligation or responsibility with respect to, any product damage, defect, failure, or malfunction arising out of or relating to:

  • misuse of the product or use of the product other than as intended;
  • failure to use, install, operate, or maintain the product in accordance with the product manual, instructions, or other applicable documentation;
  • accident, abuse, neglect, improper storage, improper handling, or other external causes;
  • use of any parts, accessories, software, or other components not supplied or approved by Sena;
  • disassembly, repair, alteration, modification, or service performed by any person not authorized by Sena;
  • damage caused by the user or any third party; or
  • fire, flood, earthquake, storm, hurricane, other natural disasters, or any other event beyond Sena’s reasonable control.
User Responsibility and Assumption of Risk

By purchasing, accessing, or using any Sena device, related accessory, firmware, software, mobile application, or service (collectively, the “Products”), you acknowledge that use of the Products while operating a vehicle or engaging in other activities may affect perception, attention, reaction time, hearing, situational awareness, or decision-making, and may be hazardous if used improperly, at excessive volume, contrary to instructions, or under unsuitable riding, operating, traffic, weather, or road conditions. The Products are provided solely as optional communication and convenience tools. You are solely responsible for the safe and lawful operation of any motorcycle, vehicle, helmet, or related equipment, and for determining whether, when, and how the Products may be used safely in any particular situation. You must read and follow all product instructions, warnings, training materials, packaging statements, and applicable laws, including laws relating to helmet use, operation of motor vehicles, and distracted driving. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you voluntarily assume all risks of injury, death, property damage, data loss, service interruption, and other losses arising out of or relating to your use of the Products.

Limitation of Liability and Damages. 

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE MANUFACTURER’S SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE LIABILITY, AND THE CONSUMER’S SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY, FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE PRODUCT, ITS USE, ITS FAILURE, OR ANY BREACH OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY, SHALL BE LIMITED TO REPAIR OF THE PRODUCT, REPLACEMENT OF THE PRODUCT, OR REFUND OF THE PURCHASE PRICE, AT THE MANUFACTURER’S OPTION, SUBJECT TO APPLICABLE LAW.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SENA AND ITS AFFILIATES, LICENSORS, SUPPLIERS, CONTRACTORS, AUTHORIZED RESELLERS, SERVICE PROVIDERS, AND THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, ENHANCED, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF REVENUE, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF BUSINESS, LOSS OF GOODWILL, LOSS OF USE, LOSS OF DATA, COST OF SUBSTITUTE PRODUCTS, COST OF DOWNTIME, OR DAMAGE OT OTHER PROPERTY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SALE, INSTALLATION, MAINTENANCE, PERFORMANCE, USE, FAILURE, OR INTERRUPTION OF THE PRODUCTS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

NOTHING HEREIN SHALL EXCLUDE OR LIMIT LIABILITY TO THE EXTENT SUCH EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION IS PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW. 

IF ANY EXCLUSIVE OR LIMITED REMEDY IN THIS WARRANTY FAILS OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE OR IS OTHERWISE HELD UNENFORCEABLE, THE CONSUMER SHALL BE ENTITLED TO THOSE REMEDIES PROVIDED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SUBJECT TO ANY OTHERWISE ENFORCEABLE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS IN THIS WARRANTY.

SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS, AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS THAT VARY FROM STATE TO STATE.

Warranty Service

Sena provides the product warranty service ONLY through the sales channels where the purchase was made. Please contact the store where you made the purchase, and do NOT return the product directly to Sena until Sena asks you to do so.

Please proceed with the warranty service procedures as instructed by the store of purchase.

Sena will provide free of-charge repair or replacement device for the defective product if Sena can find a defect and confirm such defect is under the product warranty and during the warranty period.

Warranty Q&A

  • For any Warranty claim, a valid Proof of Purchase is required. A valid proof of purchase is a document that proves an individual has purchased a Sena product from a Sena retailer or dealer. It is required for warranty claims or to confirm original ownership.

    Examples of valid proofs of purchase include:

    • A dated sales receipt from a Sena retailer or dealer. The receipt must show the product description and price.
    • A dated official email from a Sena online retailer or dealer confirming the purchase and shipment of product. The confirmation email must show the product description and price.
    • An order number from the Sena.com store website.

    Some examples of a non-valid Proof of Purchase are:

    • The UPC code from the box.
    • An image of the box in hand.
    • Receipts from non-authorized Sena dealers.
    • Receipt from any online auction sites, wholesale clearance stores or liquidation stores.

    Sena reserves the right to take any action to protect itself against all forms of suspicious or fraudulent claims, including, without limitation, requiring further verification of identity and details of warranty claims.

  • If you purchased directly from Sena.com it may still be possible for us to locate your purchase record using the email address or phone number that was used to place the order. This information would allow us to verify the details of your purchase and proceed with the necessary steps for your warranty claim.

    If you purchased from a Sena retailer or dealer, contact the retailer or dealer and request a copy of your purchase receipt.

    If the product was a gift, we suggest you ask the gifter to provide a purchasing receipt.

  • Sena must verify with certainty that the product falls within the applicable warranty period and that the product was purchased from an authorized Sena dealer.

  • The serial number helps us validate your warranty claim. It allows us to confirm the specific part number of your product and its manufacturing date. This information ensures that we can provide you with the appropriate service and support for your product.

  • If your replacement product is not working, it is still covered by warranty for the remainder of the original product’s warranty period or for thirty (30) calendar days upon receiving, whichever is longer. This ensures that you receive a functional product and are protected against any issues that may arise shortly after receiving the replacement.

  • Sena is not responsible for product returns without a generated RMA number. An RMA number ensures that your product is delivered to the correct Sena department and is properly processed for replacement or a refund. Please do not return product(s) to Sena without an RMA number.
